The setting was awesome, next to a private pier to have a wonderful swim in the lake, and the forest right by the lake. the excellent service and the attention to detail! .

Location not far from the lakeshore and more restaurants. Plus, 20 minutes drive from The Hungry Tree. Well-designed and brand-new room, with a nice looking bathroom. The staff was really helpful, the bed was comfy.

The hotel has a very friendly and welcoming staff. Incredibly beautiful views of the lake. the room and bathroom are quite spacious and include a bathtub. the price was gbp 45, which was a good deal.

We had a wonderful time at a hotel located in a beautiful spot by the lake. The crystal clear water was perfect for swimming and paddle boarding. The breakfast options were delicious. We lucked out and got a double room all to ourselves with a comfy bed and a hammock outside. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hotel owner was friendly and kept the place running smoothly. I highly recommend this hotel for its lovely location and easy lake access.

Hotel Mon Ami in El Remate is a hidden pearl! The beautifully designed rooms are clean and the private deck on the lakeshore is magical. The staff is super helpful and can arrange trips to Tikal and other locations. The owner is friendly and makes you feel at home. The restaurant serves wonderful food.

The location of the hotel was perfect, situated right at the beautiful lake. I loved being able to swim and rent a paddle board. The breakfast options were good and the bed in my double room was comfy. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a great time here and the breakfast was delicious, plus the manager was very helpful and friendly, not to mention we got a bungalow at an amazing price and the Biotopo Cerro Cahui was just a short walk away.

The jungle hut at Mon Ami was a true paradise retreat. I had my own private terrace with a hammock where I could relax surrounded by the tranquility of nature. The food at the hotel was delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The swimming pier was a highlight, with the warm and crystal-clear waters of Lago Peten Itza providing the perfect place to swim and unwind. Despite the lack of Wi-Fi in my room, I was able to connect in the lodge area. I highly recommend this fairy tale-like place for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay.

A nature reserve close by offers great views over the lake, and the breakfast with several options to choose from is good. Some rooms come with hammocks outside to relax.

Some guests have mentioned that there is a gruff and unhelpful owner who has a clear preference for French-speaking guests, which can be disappointing for those who don't speak French.
